Uptown NYC gave birth to graffiti art in the early 1970’s. Female writers who gave great contributions to the evolution in those early years. On Saturday June 30, 2012 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm a selected group of international all female graffiti artists will present current works on canvas during the “Ladies First” exhibition. This will be the first all female graffiti art presentation uptown ever according to curator, James Top. To see their creativity, genius and expression will leave you in awe one canvas at a time. “Ladies First” is the evolution of the female graffiti artists and the show to see. The show will feature work from Scratch, Vik, Shiro, Grape 897, Diva, Erotica 67, Redy Roc Reds, DollFace, Pink Eye, Mythe, Danielle Mastrion, AM, Erin Yoshi, Marthalicia Matarrita, QA, Elan and many others.
